Would like to send a BIG THANK YOU out to Denise & Jared for helping me with my flooded viewing room!!! Thank you Dawn for taking care of the boys while we dealt with the mess! Viewing room is currently under construction since the pressure release valve went and blew water all over the pump room for 14 hours (6pm to 8am). Currently, we are putting up a new wall, new floor and new pump system. I will let you know when the room is back up . . hoping for tomorrow!! Thank you all for your patience during this and I apologize for the indoor area being so cluttered up front. We will get it cleared out as soon as we can. Daily Update & 4H 01/10/2011

It is suppose to be extremely cold that day so DRESS WARMLY. Since we are not doing any riding, bundling up in snowpants might be a good option. All Students 01/06/2011

4H Students Rules and Regulation Update: If you are signed up for horseless horse and you are a first year 4H member, you CAN NOT ride a horse. 2ND Year Students can show a horse for Showmanship but no riding allowed. 3rd year students can perform walk/trot. If you are signed up for horse and pony, you need to make sure you have a horse lined up. If you need help finding one, please ask me and I will check around to find one for you or you can always ask me about leasing one of ours. We will do a partial lease on a horse here for $100/month and that includes the board, vet, farrier and feed. This gives you full access to the horse (minus the days that I have them scheduled for lessons) and you can work with your horse as much as you want. This does not include private lessons, those are still separate. If you forgot what you signed up for, please call me and I will find out for you or you can contact Kathy Heider. Please watch this video. This is how horses can react when snow falls off the roof of the barn. You need to make yourself aware of where you are around your horse at all times and keep a firm and steady hand on your horse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI1RaId4Uxgweeblylink_new_window | AuthorTiffany Engelkens uses this blog to keep her students and boarders updated on events and lessons.
